Somebody asked Khalil Gibran, why is demonism, violence and immorality prevailing today? Gibran told him, - When God sent a man into the world, He handed over a pitcher in both his hands. God said to him, truth is filled in a pitcher, which will be beneficial if followed. There is happiness in the second pitcher, which creates the desire for sensuality. You are going into a world where the devil (ignorance) and maya (avidya) rule. Protecting the truth even by giving life, keeping it safe. Limit the desire for happiness. The man went with both the pitchers. On the way he felt tired. He sat in the shade of the tree, then fell asleep

The devil was following the man because he had listened to the instruction of God. He silently put the pitcher on the right side on the left side and the pitcher on the left side on the right side. Man got confused and started looting the truth thinking it as a waste. The treasury of truth and modesty became empty in no time. He had only comforts and wishes left. This is the reason why demonism, violence and cruelty are prevalent in the world today. Humanity automatically goes away from the person who renounces truth and morality. By getting trapped in luxury, a person makes life miserable.
