 Egg is considered very beneficial for health. Its effect is hot, so people usually eat it more during winter. But those who like to eat eggs, do not care about the weather before eating it. Most of the gym goers include eggs in their diet to supplement their protein. But just imagine what would happen if the egg kept in your food plate is fake or plastic is mixed in it?

There is no doubt that eating fake food has a bad effect on health. Even a slight adulteration in any food item can push you towards a health problem. Recently, a resident of Modinagar in Ghaziabad has complained to the administration about plastic found in eggs. This is not the first time that the purity of eggs has been questioned. In the past years, the news of fake eggs has come to the fore many times. People had this suspicion when the plastic-like membrane coming out of the egg and the strange smell came out of it. Since then, almost every person who likes to eat eggs is afraid of being fake.

Try shaking the egg - if it makes any noises, it may be fake.

Crack the egg and see- If the yellow and white parts are mixed with each other while doing so, then the egg may be fake.

Put an egg in a glass of water - it is believed that if it is real, it sinks in water, while a fake egg starts floating in water.

Try burning the egg - if it is real, then only a black mark will appear on it, whereas if it is fake, the egg starts burning.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has categorically denied that eggs made of plastic are being sold in the market. Officials of the organization say that so far no such technology has been made, which can make fake eggs. The bad smell coming from the egg and the plastic-like material coming out of it is only the result of disturbances in its maintenance.

Can eggs be adulterated?

Even though it is not yet possible to make a fake egg, its accuracy can be easily tampered with. In 2020 itself, according to The Hindu's report, FSSAI caught shopkeepers in Coimbatore selling leg horn eggs by coloring them as desi eggs. After which the officials had instructed to stop the sale of 3900 eggs by breaking them.

Check like this whether the egg is indigenous or not

Desi eggs are smaller in size than poultry eggs. Also, its skin is also very soft. Apart from this, you can smell it to identify the purity of its color. If it smells like tea leaves, then it can be a poultry egg, which is being painted and sold as country eggs.
