Once Narad ji asked God that Lord, why are your devotees poor?
So God said: Narad ji! It is very difficult to understand My grace. Having said this, Lord Narad came to earth in the guise of a monk and started knocking on the door of a Sethji's house to beg for alms. Seth ji got upset and came towards the door and saw two sadhus standing there.
God said: Brother! Very hungry. Will get some food.
Seth ji said angrily: You both don't feel ashamed. Is it your father's property? I am ashamed to eat after doing work, go and ask for food in some hotel.
Narad ji said: See Lord! This is a happy creature who disrespects your devotees and you. Curse him now. After listening to Narad ji, God gave that Seth a boon to increase wealth.
After this, Lord Narad went to an old mother's house with him. Who had a small hut, in which there was nothing but a cow. As soon as God called for alms, the old mother came out with great joy. Gave both the saints a seat and brought milk for them to drink and said: Lord! I have nothing else, just accept it.
God accepted with great love. Then Narad ji said to God: Lord! Look at the plight of your devotees in this world, it is not visible to me. This poor old mother worships you and also welcomes guests. You give him some good blessing.
God thought a little and cursed his cow to die. Narad ji got upset after hearing this and said: Lord! What did you do?
God said: This old mother worships me a lot. He will die in a few days and at the time of death he will be worried about the cow that after my death no one will take my cow to a butcher and cut it, who will look after it after my death? Then at the time of death, this mother will not remember me but will only worry about the cow and instead of going to my abode, she will go to the cow's vagina.
On the other hand, Seth was given a boon to increase wealth that at the time of death, he would meditate on money and vault and he would become a snake under the vault.
It is the rule of nature, the thing in which there is excessive attachment, this creature takes birth after death and suffers a lot, so keep your thoughts more towards God.
