The incident is of the year 1870 when an idea came to the mind of an American engineer John Roebling which had not come to anyone's mind before today.
The idea was to build a magnificent bridge that could connect the two islands. At that time there was no such bridge in the whole world which would connect the two islands. The name of this bridge was - "Brooklyn Bridge".
That's why all the engineers around the world rejected it as madness. John Roebling talked to all the engineers he knew but no one came forward to help him.
John Roebling had no idea what he would do now. After thinking for many days, he talked to his son Washington. Then both of them after discussion came to the conclusion that they will definitely fulfill their dream no matter what they have to do for it.
He called some engineers and persuaded them to work on the condition that if there is any loss in this project, both father and son will compensate for it. The engineers who agreed with this stopped and the rest left saying that these people have gone mad. Will waste both money and time
The beginnings and difficulties of building the Brooklyn Bridge
Work finally began on January 3, 1870. It was just a few days that the work started that such an incident happened which broke everyone's faith. John Roebling died suddenly. After this incident, everyone started saying that this project can never be completed. At such a time, John Roebling's son Washington did not lose courage and did not let the work stop.
But it is said that no matter how good the boat is, big storms often sink it. Two years after his death, another storm came on this boat as a project of John Roebling. It was a disease that brought Washington to a condition in which all the organs of his body stopped working. The condition became so bad that Washington could not even speak.
After this the work of the project stopped and all the engineers left. Washington was also finding himself helpless in this condition. He was living his life as it was. But he got a chance to save the drowned boat when suddenly one day he realized that one finger of his hand was still working.
Completing Pool Construction by Emily Warren
He somehow told this to his wife Emily Warren. They developed codes to communicate with each other. Washington's wife read everything that was needed to build a bridge. At Washington's behest, his wife Emily Warren once again called all the engineers and asked them to resume work Emily Warren continued to build the Brooklyn Bridge following her husband's instructions for the next 11 years.
On May 24, 1883, the day arrived which created a new history. With the help of one finger and the help of his wife, Emily Warren, Washington had prepared and erected the charisma of the Brooklyn Bridge which everyone was saying was impossible.
Such people are really great who despite difficulties prove everyone's thinking wrong. Nothing is impossible in the world. Impossible is just a word that is found in all dictionaries. If you want to use it in your life, feel free to do so. But in the affirmative, as if nothing is impossible for me, it is impossible for me to lose, etc.
All of you can take inspiration from such stories and give such a direction to your life which can get your name registered in history. If you like this story of Brooklyn Bridge, then please share it with everyone. Give us your views through comments.
