In the final of IPL, Dhoni's superkings for the 10th time

 If there is love, it is possible, once again it has been proved. Chennai Super Kings, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, made it to the finals of the IPL. Rituraj Gaikwad's 44-ball 60 and Ravindra Jadeja's (2/18, 22 runs) brilliant overtime play helped Chennai enter their 10th IPL final. Chennai beat Gujarat Titans by 15 runs CSK successfully defended the score of 172 for seven wickets. He bundled out Gujarat for 157 runs. Now Gujarat will have to play the winner of the match between Lucknow and Mumbai in Qualifier-2 to enter the final. Gujarat, playing for the first time at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, got their first defeat at the hands of CSK.

Wriddhiman Saha (12) was dismissed by Chahar after hitting two fours. Shubman Gill and skipper Hardik Pandya did not increase the pace of runs, but Mahish Nepa (8) was caught by Jadeja at point in the sixth over. Gujarat's score in the powerplay was 41 for two. Dasun Shanaka hit Tikshna for a six in the 10th over.

Deshpande ended Gujarat's hopes in the 19th over by dismissing Rashid, who scored 30 off 15 balls.

Earlier, Hardik Pandya won the toss and invited Chennai to bat. Playing the first match of the season, Darshan Nalak Dey dismissed Rituraj on the third ball of the second over. He was on two runs but it turned out to be a no ball. On the next free hit ball, Gaikwad hit a six and then a four. This no-ball cost Gujarat dearly.
