Ishita very happy to stand first in the country in her third attempt in Civil Services Examination

 Overwhelmed with standing first in the country in her third attempt at the Civil Services Examination, Ishita said it was a dream come true. Ishita, who hails from Greater Noida, has been a national level football player and played in the Subti Cup tournament in 2012. She considers sports as an important contribution in shaping her personality. Ishita wants to choose UP cadre as an IAS officer. She wants to work for women empowerment and underprivileged sections.

Ishita said, after the result came, I was looking at the list when people started calling me. This is how you got to know your result on phone call. Told about career that there were many job opportunities. I learned to work professionally in the corporate sector, all of which helped me prepare for the Civil Services. I finally started realizing that my passion is public service.

Success Mantra: Daily study for eight to nine hours

Ishita says, I had many job opportunities after studying from Lady Bram College Delhi. I felt that I should get experience of the work that I want to do in the next 30-40 years. When I chose civil services, I used to study for eight to nine hours daily. My family supported me immensely even though I failed to clear the prelims twice. But, the family had a lot of faith in me. The way he pushed me forward and made things easy for me.

Ishita, 26, the daughter of an Air Force officer, worked in the risk advisory department for Ann & Young for two years after graduation. She considers the coming of girls in the top four in the Civil Services Examination a great opportunity for women.
