Sourav Ganguly's shocking revelation on captaincy controversy

Sourav Ganguly has also made a big disclosure about Virat Kohli leaving the captaincy and making Rohit the new captain. Please tell that when Kohli left the captaincy, there was a big ruckus. At the same time, now former BCCI President Ganguly said about the incident of Kohli suddenly leaving the captaincy, "No, I do not know why he did this, only he can tell."

Speaking to Aaj Tak, the former BCCI president said, "Kohli was a very good captain, India did really well under Kohli and Shastri, India played with fearless attitude and showed courage and won in England and Australia. If they had played the Manchester Test at that time, they would have won the series."

At the same time, Ganguly further said that after Kohli left the captaincy, the team needed a captain who could take the team forward. Sourav said, "Rohit was the best choice to become the captain at that time, he had won 5 IPL trophies and also performed well at the international level, he had won India the Asia Cup under his captaincy. He was the best choice. India Also played in the final of the Test Championship, though we lost."

Ganguly insisted that the selectors did nothing wrong in giving Rohit the captaincy after Virat Kohli was ousted as captain. Ganguly said, "Even two years ago, we lost the WTC final, we reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup, so, the selectors picked the person who was best for the job."
